Hello, I’m Lee James, composer, producer, pianist. Having worked in all facets of the Chicago music scene for 40+ years, it was time for a change.
Now living in Nashville, I am offering my music services for post scoring, television, commercial ads, corporate, studio production and arranging. • Passport Jazz recording artist with The Warmers' Never Gonna Give You Up feat. Jeff Lorber and Darryl Thompson, 1985-86
• Toured with MCA recording artists , The Controllers opening for Anita Baker’s Rapture tour, 1986
• Formed Lee’s Keys Productions, 1988, a pre-production company for artist recording projects; commercial jingles and industrials; and composition, arranging, transcription and manuscript services
• Released Champagne, Christmas and All That Jazz CD for special merchandising campaign, 1991
• Formed RCM/millennia Records, a pop/rock/jazz label, 1998. Producer, A & R, label manager
• Released Take on the Rain from Chicago singer/songwriter Anne deLangis Thompson, 1998, producer
• Music ministry/pianist/composer for Church of St. Patrick’s, Wadsworth, IL 2001-2020
• Debuted Presentation of Our Lord Catholic mass, 2003, celebrating the Hebrew tradition employing Middle Eastern instrumentation. Performed again in 2020
• Commissioned to write Exultet, The Easter Proclamation for St. Patrick’s Easter Vigil mass, 2011
• Released double CD , A Season Called Christmas, poem, songs and arrangements, 2011. Writer, composer, producer
• Chief Music Officer for film and media production company RCM-3, 2020-present. Upcoming projects include a feature animated version of A Season Called Christmas
